BobbinWho writes the guides
Guides are published by the Bobbin team: Bobbin's owner (an individual sole trader based in Pune, India), who makes Bobbin and is responsible for everything on this site, working with AI research and writing tools. Drafts may be prepared with AI assistance. Nothing is published on the strength of a draft alone: the checks below apply to every page.
How we check claims about Bobbin
- Every statement about what Bobbin does comes from a written list of verified behaviour, tested in Chrome (for example, full 60-minute and 2-hour recordings decoded end to end).
- If something depends on your computer, we say so: MP4 "where your browser supports it", 4K and 60 fps "where your screen and computer support it", whole-screen system audio only on Windows and ChromeOS.
- We never describe features Bobbin doesn't have. It has no share links, cloud hosting, editing, trimming, transcripts, drawing tools, blur, viewer analytics or team workspaces, and the facts page says so.
How we check facts about other products
- Prices, plan limits and settings for other tools are checked on the vendor's own pricing and help pages, and each guide links those pages with the date we checked them.
- Built-in tools (ChromeOS Screen capture, macOS, Windows, Chrome DevTools, GitHub) are described from their official documentation, linked at the bottom of the page.
- Comparisons say when another tool is the better choice. If a competitor needs cloud links, transcripts or editing, we say so plainly.
Our bias
We make Bobbin, so we are not neutral, and pages that compare tools include Bobbin. We don't accept payment for placement, there are no affiliate links, and we don't publish star ratings, testimonials or "best of" scores we can't verify. Product names are trademarks of their owners, and Bobbin is not affiliated with them.
Dates and updates
- Each guide shows an "Updated" date: the last day its facts were checked or its content changed.
- Our sitemap's last-modified dates change only when a page's own content changes, not for sitewide menu or footer edits.
- Prices and plans change often, so check the linked source before you buy anything.

Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, email support@getbobbin.app with "Correction" in the subject and the page address. We check it against the source, fix the page and update its date.
